"What's Happening on the Water

No dinghy racing last weekend due to low tides. This weekend we have a full Winter Series Programme, with an early start on Saturday for the Finns, class four and five, starting in the harbour at 09.00. Following a decision at the Sailing Committee all classes will start together, as this will make it easier for the Race Officer to record average lap times for the two scheduled races. New recording sheets will be available and Simon Percival will be on hand to explain to the Race officer and Assistants.

The Scow races for Saturday and Sunday will start in the river at a more relaxed time of 11.00. It is good to see that a number of Wednesday Caper sailors are taking part in the Scow Winter Series.

Don't forget the Race Officer and Assistants seminar in the training room on 15th December starting at 09.30.

I hope the weather this weekend will be kind, so as to see a good fleet of all dinghy classes competing at a time of the year when there are few other vessels around……… Enjoy !!!
