This year Christchurch Sailing Club are delighted to be part of the Christchurch Living Advent Calendar program.

This is our first year joining this community charity event organised by the Christchurch Rotary Club, with the Wet Wheels Charity being the nominated Charity for our event.

We can't announce what the entertainment is until the day, but it will be musical and involve the sea!!

Christchurch Sailing Club will be providing the venue on Friday December 6th, with the public and members invited to attend from 6pm to 7pm in the front Car Park and enjoy the entertainment organised by the Christchurch Rotary Club for local charities.

In addition, the Club will be holding a separate member only event from 8pm on the same night where the entertainment will continue upstairs until 10:30pm.

This is a great opportunity for the Club to support the community and the Wet Wheels charity. There will also be an auction of two substantial paintings on recycled sailcloth.  These paintings will be on display in the clubroom for the week prior to the event.  The reserve prices for these paintings are £100 for the smaller picture and £200 for the larger.  If you wish to bid for any of the paintings, you can submit your bid in writing to the office prior to the event, or in person on the night.

There is no charge for this event, but please come with your pockets full of folding cash and generously contribute to the raffle and collection buckets in support of this important charity.

Basket meals are now available to book online, which will be served at 7.30pm prior to the club event starting.

Scampi & Chips or Sausage & Chips    £8pp

This is the first year that we have been part of this community event, so please support the Christchurch Living Advent Calendar events, and our venue on Friday 6th December.

More information can be found on the following website …

Childrens Christmas Party on Sunday 8th December is being organised by the Junior Section and we understand that they have arranged with Santa to come to Christchurch on that day and visit our club.

The Christmas Raffle sheets are now available on the bar where you can enter your name for £1 per entry.

Please write your name legibly. The raffle itself is one of our most lively & raucous events.

Come and enjoy an afternoon of  Christmas cheer and banter on Sunday 15th December @ 2pm

Carols Round the Tree on Saturday 21st December.

Carol Sheets will be distributed to enable us to accompany a brass band in a magical evening of songs led by Martin Dancey.

Mince pies and a glass of mulled wine will be available to purchase from the bar.

Christmas Day

The Christmas lunch time bar is a popular event between 12.00 and 2.00pm.

Come along and relax for those couple of hours between opening the presents and sitting down at your lunch table.

There is a possibility that our Commodore will be on bar duty that day so it will be good if we can get a full house to see him under pressure.

The Harry Chivers Race on Boxing Day is a club tradition.

This year it is a morning race - 10am start!

Wouldnt it be a good idea to go for your Boxing day stroll by the river and finish up at the club to join the days sailors for a few drinks.

The New Years Party is again being hosted by Stuart Percival and begins at 9.30pm, when he will be playing his dance floor classics.

Stuart is so good at generating a party atmosphere and we expect a full house for this event.

This year Stuart is seeking an entrance contribution of £5 cash which he is donating to the Ellen McCarthur Trust.
