The Club
Set in beautiful surroundings overlooking the Rivers Stour and Avon, and adjacent to Christchurch town quay, members enjoy superb views from the Club
The Club has two car parks, modern changing facilities and, subject to availability, dinghy storage spaces and adjacent river moorings.
There are two dinghy races a week from the beginning of April through to late December as well as the occasional evening race on weekdays. For the younger sailors there is a racing series during the summer holidays. Popular dinghy classes at Christchurch are Lasers, Finns, Mirrors, Toppers, Wanderers and the Christchurch Scow.
Class 5 is Christchurch Sailing Club's fleet for dinghies with a Portsmouth Yardstick of 1265 or above. We are actively looking for new members to join this fleet. If you have got a Mirror, Gull, Cadet, Torch, Comet, Tideway, Heron, Sailfish or other dinghy with a PY of 1265 or above, why not come and race with us? We race every Saturday and some evenings. Cruiser racing takes place almost every Sunday between April and October and an evening race series when tides and light permit. There are also regular Rallies organised to various venues including affiliated sailing clubs around the South of England and North France.
The Club organises several events at the clubhouse throughout the year from Food and Wine Parties to the Christmas Dinner Dance.
The club office is open 10-1PM Monday, Wednesday and Friday
