Inter Club PrizegivingThe club hosted the 2022 Inter Club prizegiving last Friday evening. The Sea Inter Club was the first series to be presented and Highcliffe SC won the team trophy, however CSC`s Alex Atkins won the overall individual event, congratulations to Alex. In the Harbour Inter Club Christchurch SC retained the overall club trophy with top five best performing sailors picking up a trophy, they were Alex Atkins, Steve Hayles, Rover Rushworth, Lee Elford and Simon Percival. Nigel Burt picked up a trophy for the highest placed scow, Sue Haynes was also a winner, being the first placed CSC lady and Max Rayner received a standing ovation for taking the first overall junior trophy. Well done Max a top achievement and just rewards for the sailing he has done this year in his RS Tera. Winning the Interclub this year overall was Tim Reid from Mudeford Sailing Club, he also won the Queen Elizabeth Trophy which was sailed in honour of the late Queen. The plan for next year is to run an Interclub series in the Spring as well as the Autumn event. Included in the programme will be the Queen Elizabeth Trophy which will be a regular annual event and open to all clubs. Thanks to Stuart Percival for presenting and organising the trophies it was very much appreciated by all who attended. Thanks, also, to Roger Allen for taking the photos of the event.
