We started with our usual 'Round the Buoys' evening in April with 20 ladies attending - this was the first time for 3 of the members and it was a very enjoyable evening. We have managed to get out on the water for 7 out of our 8 booked sessions.

The Ladies used a variety of boats including putting the club sailing dinghies to use which proved an opportunity for double handed sailing for less experienced participants. There were a couple of wet and windy evenings but even this did not deter us - we raced on 4 of the sessions including a great pursuit race. On an another evening a games session was held which enabled a variety of boat handling skills to be practised.

At the beginning of August we had our annual picnic in the harbour. Following a short sail we landed on the shoreline where we shared some delicious food and a glass of bubbly. Overall, a very enjoyable season of Ladies Sailing and our thanks go to all those who enabled this to be run. Ann Hadley (Ladies class captain)
