IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL MARINERS. - CHANNEL UPDATE

Nature has now established our channel out to sea, there are four more buoys to deploy which include the outer lit markers. The channel lays further to the east than it has been for the last few years.
The Christchurch Harbour Association will finish laying these last markers over the next few days.
We are sorry that the exercise has not been completed sooner, it would have been irresponsible of us to lay them out any earlier.
The outer channel is not ideal, so as we have stated before take care as you enter or exit the harbour, always maintaining a watch on depth.
