There was not a lot of breeze on Saturday for the six dinghies that turned out to compete for the Silver Firefly Trophy..... in order to finish first, first you must finish and that certainly applied to Jack Arnell as the rest of the fleet retired, congratulations Jack. Sunday was a Harbour Interclub and again light winds resulted in a low turnout but 2 races were completed, no results as we go to press!
The Cruisers also had light winds but 8 boats sailed in class 1 with Marmite leading the fleet, and in class 3 three boats finished with Jester taking the win.
Well done to Graham Fairbrass for winning the Avonmouth Trophy last weekend. This week we have good weather forecast for Wednesday's Capers and the Christchurch Keg on Saturday...... Monday 27th will see the first running of a relay race for scows, competing for the Stuart Percival Cup.
The bank holiday weekend has many 'on the water' events but I would also like to highlight round 2 of the TWOUPCUP which takes place on Sunday 26th May at 6pm.
Enjoy your sailing!
Sue
