Car Park Opening

It was a notable occasion on Friday 12th May when the overflow car park was officially opened. The Commodore welcomed our guest the Mayor of Christchurch Councillor Avril Coulton and took the opportunity to thank our Honorary Member Geoff Elkins for giving the Club the opportunity of purchasing the car park. Special thanks were given to former Rear Commodore Adrian Dwyer and our Vice Commodore Graham Smith for successfully managing the legal and financial process. Thanks were also given to our members who through the debenture scheme provided the money to complete the purchase.
Councillor Coulton congratulated the Club on the significant addition to the estate and proceeded to cut the ribbon to declare the car park officially open before returning to the Club to unveil a commemorative plaque.
To complete the celebration all those in attendance enjoyed a few glasses of Prosecco and Canapes.
