Cruiser Rally

The Cherbourg Rally for the August Bank Holiday will run from 25 Aug to 28 Aug.  The aim is to encourage first-time Channel crossers and, of course, to have some fun.

 A booking for 20 boats has been made with Chantereyne Marina.  They have offered to put us close to the facilities, probably on pontoons J and K.  Mooring fees will be discounted by 20%.  They should be able to accommodate more than 20 boats given sufficient notice, so please dont delay booking on the Club website.

There will be a briefing in the Training Room on Wed, 16 Aug 23 at 19:30 hrs to look at the long-term weather forecast and to brief aspects of crossing the Channel and entering Cherbourg for those interested.

ACTIVITIES

• Sundowners on the pontoon on both Friday and Saturday to welcome arriving crews.
• Wine tasting at Normandy Wines opposite the hypermarket on Saturday (time TBD). 
• Sunday afternoon sports.
• A meal will been booked at LÉquipage above the marinas capitainerie for Sunday night.  Details to follow.
