Apologies for the delay, I've been sitting on the forecast like a hawk, and it doesn't seem to be improving.
Whilst we've been out in similar winds. The (building) strength of the wind, air/water temp and the heavy rain, means that we'd be asking for trouble going out Sailing, running the risk of boat breakages along with sailor breakages and coldness/wetness.
I'm sorry to have to cancel due to the conditions (only the 2nd time this year!) But I think that it is for the best.
Wishing for lighter winds for next weekend!
